Acuscope/Myopulse Technician Training

We offer specialized group training seminars each year, during the months of March-October. We provide individual training throughout the year as well. Personal use, home health aides, estheticians, and massage therapists can all benefit from personalized instruction.

The Acupulse/Myopulse Training can be customized to meet your unique needs. Some options include integrating an introduction to Traditional Chinese Meridian Therapy and/or Supplemental Anatomy Instruction.

The Electro Acuscope® and Electro Myopulse®

The Acuscope and Myopulse are advanced micro-current technologies that utilize a proprietary “carrier wave” that assesses the electrode-potential damage of tissue. The computer makes on- going calculations of tissue resistance and regulates the waveform microcurrent output to provide the best treatment, based on the information it receives. These instruments also balance the tissue at the cellular level and put the autonomic nervous system at rest which is an environment required by the body to heal.

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INSTRUMENTS IN THE ACUSCOPE-MYOPULSE SYSTEM:

  • Electro Acuscope® indicated for pain & stress management-neurological & neuromuscular indications – Feedback controlled Alternating Current (AC) microcurrent

  • Electro Myopulse® for soft tissue and sports injuries – Feedback controlled AC microcurrent  Myopulse® Facial – anti aging system for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, scar tissue, sleep/stress and pain control

  • Neuroscope® 230B personal home device for the treatment of stress, anxiety, sleep disorders and chronic pain control – AC microcurrent CES device

Qi, Blood, Essence

According to TCM, the three primary elements of life—Qi, Blood, and Essence (jing)—come from the viscera and flow continuously throughout the body.
For our health and well-being, it is crucial to make sure there are enough of these vital compounds in our bodies and that they are properly circulated.
The stagnation or absence of these chemicals contributes to a number of health disorders.

The Meridian System

Each side of the body has twelve main meridians, one on each side mirroring the other. Each meridian is associated with a certain internal organ. Furthermore, each organ system, with its own physiological and invisible energy functions, is dependent not just on the other organ systems, but also on the larger meridian network.

Since the meridian system is closed, if the energy is ever blocked, one meridian will have excess energy, and the other would have insufficient energy. This energy obstruction manifests in the body as imbalances like pain, discomfort, and disease.

According to the polarity of the Qi (chi) that they control, meridians are also categorized as either excitatory (yang) or inhibitory (yin). Organs associated with yin meridians are thought to be yin, and those associated with yang meridians to be yang.

The Five Phases Theory

The Five Phases and Yin and Yang are the cornerstones of diagnosing and treating diseases and have significantly impacted the development of medical thought.

The universe is defined by Yin and Yang as the meeting of polar opposite forces. This dynamic is further broken down into five stages of transformation by the Five Phases Theory.

These stages, which are classified as wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, reflect the four distinct earthly seasons.
These components match the phases of human life: conception, development, maturation, death, and rebirth.

Both a person's external world and interior environment reflect the progression through these phases.

Each Yin organ is associated with a Yang organ, and these pairs have unique meridian channels, tissues, muscles, and energetic functions in common.

The following Five Phases are associated with each pair:

  • Gallbladder/Liver Wood

  • Fire: Small Intestine and the Heart

  • Metal - Lungs/Large Intestine

  • Earth - Spleen/Stomach

  • Water — Kidneys and Bladder

The functioning of each of these organ systems is independent and interdependent.
Qi is present in each of the Five Phases.
